Kim Law joined Red Oak Realty in 2007 and is responsible for finance and accounting functions as well as corporate administration. She has over twenty years of experience in real estate accounting. Prior to joining Red Oak Realty, she was the Assistant Controller for Volunteers of America Texas, a national non-profit organization located in Fort Worth. Prior to Volunteers of America Texas, Kim was Senior Real Estate Accountant for Trademark Property Company, a commercial real estate development and management company in Fort Worth, specializing in retail lifestyle centers. Her experience ranges from multifamily dwelling, commercial retail complexes, and commercial office buildings.
Throughout her tenure at Red Oak Realty, Kim has been instrumental in development and maintenance of the accounting software and systems. She is responsible for corporate finances, reporting and tax matters. She assists the company’s Asset Managers with all financial aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, budgeting and operations for the commercial real estate portfolio. She is also responsible for managing cash flow and partnership ledgers for more than 31 properties and entities. Kim has managed and participated in the creation of investor financial communications for assets valued at $150 million.
While working full time, she received her BBA in Accounting from University of Phoenix and her Executive MBA from Texas Woman’s University with an emphasis in accounting.

Kim facilitated corporate accounting/auditing for the VOA Texas Affiliate with Annual Revenues of $20M. Her responsibilities included analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet and general ledger accounts, monthly One-on-One meetings with program directors to review financials for 43 programs, the completion of monthly corporate financials involving multiple reports, completion of Annual Compliance report with the State of Texas and oversee coordination and correspondence of multiple banking relationships for the VOA Texas Affiliate.

Kim facilitated corporate accounting/auditing for thirty-eight (38) companies/properties. All of these properties were multi-tenant exclusive retail shopping centers. Her responsibilities at Trademark included direct and indirect supervision of multiple employees, reconciliation and presentation of construction draws to the appropriate lenders, debt administration, monthly reporting, budgeting, annual lease reconciliation, investor relationships, and fixed asset coordination.
